Substituting the glue on an ME 35

-          DO NOT clean the glue tank with metal tools, since they will damage it. Use a wooden scraper.

Over time the glue deteriorates and loses it adhesive properties; proceed as follows to completely empty the glue tank and change the glue.

1.      Bring the glue to operating temperature and insert a piece of wood in the tank, immersed right through the glue with one end projecting approximately 10-15 cm from the tank.

2.      Turn off the machine and allow the glue to completely cool.

3.      Switch the machine on again and reheat the glue until it can be extracted with the piece of wood. (Recommended extraction temperature: about 90 to 110 degrees.)

4.      The remaining glue on the walls of the tank can easily be removed when it is tepid. (Recommended temperature: about 40 degrees.)
