Replacing Knives on an ME 35
To replace the blades process in this way: (it is not necessary to take off trimming unit motor.)
1. Make sure that no panels are processed.
2. Stop the machine by pressing the STOP button.
3. Press the emergency stop button.
4. ONLY after pressing the emergency stop button and waiting for the motor to stop, it is
possible to open cowling.
5. Remove casings from motor.
6. Insert a 4mm Allen key into the screw that secures the blade.
7. Inert a 5 mm Allen key into the rear part of the motor.
8. Unscrew the screw that secures the blade.
9. Replace the blade making sure that it is replaced in the correct rotation direction.
10. Retighten the screws.
11. Replace the casings on the motor.
Replacing blades on top and bottom cutters on an ME 35
Motor disassembly:
1. Lift the unit as far as possible.
2. Move the unit back and exclude it.
3. Remove screw from the hood and remove the hood.
4. Disconnect the motor with the connector.
5. Loosen the 4 screws keeping the motor suspended.
6. Remove the motor.
Cutter replacement:
1. Insert a hex wrench in the rear part of the motor and a second screw in the front part and
use it to disassemble the cutter.
2. Replace the cutter and tighten the fixing screw blocking the motor shaft as described
above.
Motor assembly:
1. Return the motor to its seating and make sure that the keys are positioned correctly.
2. Insert the 4 screws of the support.
3. Firstly, tighten the countersunk screw and then the 3 other screws.
4. Reassemble the extractor hood blocking the nut.
5. Make sure that the cutters do not scrape the extractor hoods.
6. Reconnect the motor with the connector.
